they make me wait

I don't know why the prosecutor thinks that I'm sitting here leisurely passing the time away. I called him at 11:30 which was 2.5 hours after JS had to be in court for the arraignment. He was in court so I told his secretary that I wanted an update on what happened in court. Had I not been 800 miles away I would have been right there in the courtroom too. She said "well, I give him your message" in a tone that indicated he may or may not call. I think he must be bad about returning calls because one time when I called and complained that he may not be getting my messages one of the ladies in that office told me "oh, he gets the messages...that's our job." I'll just bug the hell out of them until someone returns my call. I'm glad that the lawyer I talked to yesterday was so nice to me. She even gave me her cell phone number so if the prosecutor doesn't return my call or I can't reach him this afternoon I will call her and see if she can tell me what happened in court. There are some other issues that I need to discuss with her, too...like the fact that JS was in law enforcement in that county for years and I wonder if the trial shouldn't be moved to another county. I also found out that the prosecutor's father was the lawyer to handle JS case to have his sex offender supervision terminated early. I'm thinking conflict of interest so definitely will find out from the guardian ad litem what she thinks about it.
